Would you like to become a Friend of the National Children's Choir?
The National Children's Choir (NCC)/Cór Naisiúnta na nÓg, is a unique choral experience for primary school children. The choir was founded by Dr Seán Creamer in 1985 to mark European Music Year. The aim of NCC is to foster a love of choral singing amongst the primary school children of our nation. It is a school-based initiative in which young singers learn a wide repertoire of choral music, from Bach to the Beatles. Would you like to invest in the musicians of the future? Over the past forty years, over 180,000 children have sung under the NCC umbrella. The underlying ethos of the NCC is inclusivity. The children learn a common repertoire of approximately sixteen songs, and every child performs in a regional concert where they experience the joy of collaborative music making! For many children, this will be a once in a lifetime experience!
Would you like to be associated with this unique musical experience?
The NCC is a non-profit organisation. Our committees, regional and national, are made up of teachers and retired teachers all working in a voluntary capacity. As an organisation, we have many essential financial costs including insurance, copyright, printing, the hiring of concert venues, musicians, lighting and sound, all of which enhance the experience of the performers and audience. The National Children's Choir is about celebrating the most powerful instrument of all - the voice. Therefore, we are inviting you or your organisation to support this initiative by becoming a Friend of the NCC.
Would you like to support us?
There are four levels on offer, appealing to all individuals, organisations, and budgets. All Friends of the NCC are listed on our website and in the programme for the next National Concert Hall concerts. Your support will help to continue the development and growth of this unique musical project for primary school children. Platinum Friends also receive two tickets to a concert of their choice and a half page advertisement in a future programme.
Míle Buíochas!
