Anne Purcell
Anne Purcell is Principal of St Mary's NS, Donnybrook. She has been involved in music from an early age. She attended St. Louis in Rathmines and was a member of the Young Dublin Singers for many years. Anne then went on to join the RTE Philharmonic Choir. Anne has been involved with the National Children's Choir since its formation and was an Assistant Musical Director before becoming Musical Director. Anne has lectured part-time in the music department of St. Patrick's College of Education in Drumcondra. Anne is choral director in Leeson Park School of Music. Anne is also one of the authors of the Folen's Music Books for Primary Schools - "The Right Note
Mairéad Déiseach
Mairéad Déiseach is the head of The Presto Project, in St. Ultans, Cherry Orchrd, where 'Music for Opportunity' is at its core. She is greatly involved with both choral and instrumental groups. She studied singing to Diploma level with Jody Beggan in the DIT Conservatory of Music and is a Feis Ceoil prize winner for both solo and duet singing. She has sung with RTE Cór na n-Óg, DIT Chamber Choir, DIT Choral Society, is a regular soloist and is the conductor of her local church choir. Before becoming Musical Director in 2007, Mairéad was an Assistant Musical Director with the National Children's Choir. She is currently Musical Director with the Frascati Singers in Blackrock. A classically trained violinist, she also enjoys playing traditional music, and likewise has long loved singing traditional Irish songs.
Órla Gillan
Órla Gillan is a primary school teacher in St. Brigid's Girls National School in Cabinteely. She has been responsible for the development of choral music in the school for many years and her choirs have enjoyed success in several choral festivals. Órla has been involved in choral music from a very early age and as a member of the 'Park Singers' and 'Cantando', she has travelled extensively throughout Ireland and Europe. She has been involved with the National Children's Choir since its foundation in 1985 and was an Assistant Musical Director for many years before becoming Musical Director in 2007. Órla is also the conductor of the Park Singers.
